Google last week started testing passkey support in Chrome and Android via the FIDO Alliance, the group behind passwordless sign-ins that use a smartphone’s sensors for biometric authentication. Apple in June announced passkey support for iOS and macOS using Face ID and Touch ID for logging into apps and websites. Passkeys are another step forwards. Google said passkeys are much safer than passwords since they can’t be reused and don’t leak in server breaches....
Shipments by Lenovo, HP, Dell and Asus were all down for the quarter. Apple’s share of the PC market, which includes desktops, notebooks and workstations, is now 13.5%, up from 8.2% in the same quarter a year ago, leaving Apple as the only vendor with growing shipments – up 40% on the same time last year. In a nutshell, high-end PCs are selling well as consumer and education sales have slowed....

The space-based cameras were developed by the university’s International Centre for Neuromorphic Systems (ICNS), as part of a joint initiative between the two organisations called Project Falcon Neuro. On the hardware side of things, as promised, I’ve swapped out the original whip antenna for a much larger 1090MHz antenna.
