Non-GAAP earnings per share came to $3.35 on revenue of $16.7 billion, up 6.5%. Analysts were expecting earnings of $3.14 per share on revenue of $15.98 billion. Hybrid cloud revenue in Q4 totaled $6.2 billion, up 16%. Full-year hybrid cloud revenue was $20.2 billion, up 20%. “We increased revenue in the fourth quarter with hybrid cloud adoption driving growth in software and consulting,” CEO Arvind Krishna said in a statement....

The business technology giant delivered a non-GAAP EPS of $2.52 on revenue of $17.6 billion, up 1% year-over-year. Analysts were expecting earnings of $2.49 per share on revenue of $17.79 billion. IBM said total cloud and cognitive software revenue was $5.7 billion for the quarter, up 2.5%. Last month, the US Department of Energy (DoE), which hosts Summit in Oak Ridge National Laboratory, awarded a total of over seven million node hours on the supercomputer to 20 research teams, two of which belong to GE Research. The Summit supercomputing system is the second most powerful in the world, behind the Fugaku supercomputer located in Japan. Built by IBM, Summit boasts system power equivalent to 70 million iPhone 11s, which scientists can leverage to run large computations such as simulating systems’ behavior or solving complex physics problems....

Well, an uncompressed 48MP ProRAW photo will be 75MB in size, and when using ProRes, 4K video will use as much as 6 gigabytes per minute of your iPhone 14 Pro’s storage. For those of us that go photo crazy and want to use the 48MP ProRAW capabilities of the new sensor, that is quite a lot of file space if you shoot a lot of exposures (say 100) during a single photography session or start recording five or 10-minute 4K clips....
